Cost Centers
Overseeing the operation of the CUSG Cost Centers is a major responsibility for the student government. Cost Centers are the Student Recreation Center/Recreation Services, Wardenburg Health Center, University Memorial Center (UMC), Environmental Center, Student Organizations Finance Office (SOFO), Women's Resource Center (WRC), Off-Campus Student Services (OCSS), Student Legal Services, Cultural Events Board (CEB), Volunteer Resource Center (VRC), KVCU Radio 1190, Student Outreach & Retention Center for Equity (SORCE), Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Resource Center (GLBTRC), Distinguished Speakers Board (DSB), Student Group Funding Board (SGFB), and CUSG Proper. Each Cost Center submits quarterly budgets and a yearly student fee budget to Finance Board. The annual budget proposals and Finance Board recommendations are then submitted to Legislative Council for approval and inclusion in the next fiscal year's student fee package presented to the Board of Regents.

Local Colleges
Each of the nine colleges and schools in the academic division of the university may send a representative to the Council of Colleges and Schools. Usually these delegates are selected by the student governments of the respective schools. The Council also is designed to represent student interests and activities with an emphasis on those students in their academic departments. The Council also funds events and travel for academically based student groups. During the academic year, public meetings are usually held Thursdays at 6 p.m. in UMC, #353.
