SGFB, or Student Group Funding Board funds an extremely diverse range of student groups. SGFB is a unique board because while it funds events and travel like Representative Council and CCS, SGFB also provides operational funding to student groups. SGFB delegates money to groups at weekly hearings throughout the academic year. Due to recent code changes, SGFB now allocates money for student groups to use that same academic year. If you are a student group that was not awarded funds last year to be used this year, you may apply for funding for the Spring 2014 semester.
During the Spring 2014 semester, hearings will occur weekly on Wednesdays starting at 5pm. Turn in your application via email at SGFB@colorado.edu. Applications must be turned in by 5pm on Fridays to be considered for a hearing on the following Wednesday. Your application must include your group's bylaws in order to be considered. A template for by-laws can be found here. Before you apply, please familiarize yourself with the SGFB Code. As basic requirements for eligibility, your group must be inclusive to all students on campus, hold a minimum of three meetings per semester, and be in good standing with SOFO. For more specific requirements, please consult the SGFB code.
