Event Overview:

Transportation to the Parade

While preserving the traditions of CU Homecomings past, we are celebrating Homecoming in full force. In addition to the Homecoming football game against Oregon on Saturday, October 22nd, there will be several other events throughout the week for everyone to celebrate the CU spirit!

Specific Events:

Friday, October 21 - 7:00 p.m.  Stampede and Homecoming Parade, Pearl Street Mall, starting at the Courthouse

Saturday, October 22 – 1:30 p.m.  CU Buffaloes vs. the Oregon Ducks Football Game at Folsom Field

Sunday, October 23 – 90's theme concert 7:30 p.m. Glenn Miller Ballroom UMC on the CU campus

  ·         Parade/Pep Rally - New this year, the parade moves downtown to the Pearl Street Mall, starting at the courthouse and continuing down Pearl Street. While moving the location of the parade was a big decision, the Homecoming Committee decided that it was in the best interests of CU students, alumni and the Boulder community. The Homecoming Committee is committed to building the enthusiasm and success of Homecoming and strengthening the tradition of the parade by encouraging greater attendance and participation. Rain, shine or blizzard, the parade has been an unstoppable force in the past!

Join the band, the team, coaches, cheerleaders, foot-powered floats, and an old fashioned fire engine as we welcome everyone to Boulder for the CU Boulder Homecoming parade.  This year’s theme is “Celebrating CU: Through the Decades.”  The parade is Friday night at 7:00  – c’mon down.  Go Buffs!

·         Homecoming-Themed Events - The Homecoming Committee in collaboration with other campus departments, including Program Council and the UMC, will host special Homecoming-themed events on campus during Homecoming Week. In the past, these events have included Meet-And-Greets with Grand Marshals and the annual Homecoming concert. The 2011 theme is “Celebrating CU: Through the Decades”.

Sponsorship Opportunities:

Since 2004, the City of Boulder, the University of Colorado, and the community at large have been collaborating to enhance every aspect of the Homecoming celebration.  Help us continue that tradition!
